Table Top Epoxy Resin Pour - Cedar Wood
Not a criticism just a heads up.. When listening on headphones, only the left ear is producing any noise. Something wrong with your audio set up. That plus all of your voice overs you can hear your lips and tongue separating each time you go to talk.😶
Good luck brother.. just got my 06 a few year ago. love it just got the tran flush and timing belt replaced 2 months ago
thanks for the follow up! Great project!
Excellent job young fella..
Thank you sir.
Very well thought out. If you're still using this table, did you cut out the miter slots on your wood at discharge end of table saw? That's if you use a miter sled. Great idea to have an all in one work bench. Awesome job my friend. Steve
I did not. I haven't used a sled yet.
Sir, what you have created here is nothing short of amazing. It is plain to see you put a considerable amount of thought and planning into the project before you even touched the first piece of wood. You can be very proud of what you have created and here is a big 'THANK YOU' for sharing it with us. If you don't mind, I do have a couple of questions. 1) Now that you have had a chance to put your creation to use in actual shop conditions, what do you think if it? In other words, if you were to build another work bench, what, if any, changes would you make? Why? 2) How did you decide on the correct height of the work bench, measuring from the shop floor to the work surface? You will spend a great many hours standing at this bench, especially when you have all the tools put down and are just using it as a table. It needs to be built to your height so you're not 'stooping over' a bit which is a perfect recipe for back ache. I've seen a great many work benches built here on RUclips, but I've never seen anyone explain how they arrived at the correct height. Is there some 'special formula' that will give the correct table height according to how tall the operator is? I appreciate any advice you can give and again, THANK YOU for sharing this with us.
Thanks for watching. I have a "2 year review" video addressing some of the changes I would have made. I think I determined the height by what would be a comfortable working height for accessing the infeed and outfeed of most of the tools.
Awesome build!
Thanks!

I really love this design and as I am getting my 2 car organized for wood working, this may be what I am looking for! I did have an idea for the miter saw dust collection: build some sort of hood behind the tool and use the vac hose for it. I thought of that while watching as I am thinking...wait....I see an update video. I am gunna watch it then delete this if it covers that. lol
That is a good idea. Miter saws really do need a hood style dust collection. Something collapsible like a tent comes to mind.
Awesome! Why didn't you switch the plainer around 180 degrees?
Great job nice how you made all your out feed level with the table top
Thanks. If the planer was rotated 180 then the hose port would be facing the outside of the table which would require the hose to be ran on the outside.
Hola, ¿qué dimensiones tienen los listones de madera?
Which ones?

Agreed!
I’m not that smart
😂sure you are.
I wouldn't let you in my shop wearing flip flops and shorts. You are a walking accident waiting to happen. Get SAFE !
Question: when you were using the router on the vent hose area, what was the razor blade for when you cut around the hole? Thanks.
I think I was trying to make a clean cut without the plywood tearing out the top layer. It was probably overkill.
@@phillipreborn Ok, that makes sense. I'm still learning and one big issue for me is keeping the router straight so it doesn't go over "the line" when cutting. I know there are jigs out there, but the jigs don't work on some cuts. Thanks.
I saw your workbench video and loved the organization of it; then I saw this video. We’re kindred spirits, I think! 😂😂 I just bought a 2007 Lexus GX470. I have big plans for it, but I have a golf cart project, woodworking projects, learning to use my 3D printer projects, my DJing business (still learning), my reaction videos, AND my full time job as a mental health therapist. 🤣🤣 (my adhd works overtime). Can’t wait to see what you have in store with the Lexus!
Thanks! Glad I'm not the only one with way too many projects happening all at once. Just need more time!
How do I get the plans?
Great question!
It’s in the description
There is a link to my etsy store in the description.
Hi, I just watched the video and I love the bench. Do you have drawings of the build?
Thanks. Yes, there is a link in the description of the video.
This design is awesome I love it, although that vacuum won't be strong enough I imagine
Thanks! It proved it was not :D
Great job and some great ideas!
thanks, glad to hear.
Wow! This table is amazing! And it was incredibly satisfying watching you take such minute care with each step! Bravo!
Thank you so much!
Great workbench. Well thought out and versatile with a place for multiple tool. Would be overkill for my needs. I like the large work surface but I would only be needing the table saw and miter saw. I'm thinking though I could build a bench like that and add the other tools later. I have a small shed turned shop so I'd build mine to fold up against a wall. Very good work and video.
Sounds good. thanks for watching.
Wow that's genius, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Brilliant 🎉
Thank you!

I bought one of these to bring down to Mexico. Found a 1-owner in outstanding condition with 305K miles on it. It has been the perfect truck for Baja. Had a brand new timing belt/water pump, thermostat, tires, and a bunch of other stuff but what sealed the deal was how well the original owner had babied the thing: The interior leather was in near showroom condition! Like, literally brand new. Now, they could have replaced the leather at some point but it is identical to the rear leather, which is certainly factory OEM. So, I'm inclined to believe it is either the original seating surfaces or a Lexus dealer replaced her front seats before she traded it in. Regardless, it had a 24 page CARFAX and she had basically been spending money on it every 8-9,000 miles since new. Suspension was replaced, transmission had been serviced every 120K miles, etc. I have no doubt I will get another 200K+ miles out of it, easily and few cars -- if any -- have every inspired the kind of confidence behind the wheel my GX470 does.
Sounds like you found a nice one! Yep, they are built different for sure. Its a difference you can feel when you drive it and when you work on them. Simple and built to last, which is why I was happy to go back.
Just purchased your blueprints my friend. Great video, great project and great job. I'll send pics. Thank you 👍 👊
Sounds good! Thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Honestly super cool idea and I am going to steal some of these concepts. Only think I woulda done different is using a wooden U slot to slide the dust collection hose down into instead of magnets. Super cool idea, great project!
Thanks! Sounds great. I like that idea of the wooden U.
A lot of thought !! I like it
Thanks!
Like your workbench layout and that the tools fold down. Great planning, however, I think you should have used two layers of plywood for the top. Extra strength.
Thanks! Yes, 2 layers would be twice as strong for sure.
Curious to see your router table set up....
There is a separate video on my channel going into the router section in more detail.
Hi. I am wondering how tall is your table. I am planning to make one like yours.
About 36 inches.
Amazing Offroad/Onroad Beauty Love❤ GX470
It is!
Bought the plans on the original. However it doesn’t mention what thickness top you went with for the workbench.
Thanks! 3/4 ply
Amazing freehand routing but wouldn't it have been easier to use some straight edge guides? That workbench with fold-up power tools is GENIUS! Sweet magnetic vacuum connection! Very nice video, well done. All the best, Rob in Switzerland
Thanks. It would have absolutely been better to run the router along a straight edge. Hindsight.

Thanks!
@@phillipreborn was thinking to make one but I can’t find a spot fit it now that I want to have space in my garage
To make the dust easier to remove from your separator, you can just cut the bottom off of the current dust catcher, then slip the whole thing inside of another 5 gallon bucket. Then when you want to empty it, it's as simple as pulling the buckets apart and dumping it.
Good idea!
Around what was the total cost for this project?
Also, what type of “pocket-door” hinges did you use? I am having trouble finding them.
amzn.to/3TUcdII Pocket Door Slides I had some of the plywood from a previous project so I just had to buy the 2x4s, door wood, casters, and hardware. I think it was around $200 total.
I think, this is one of the most creative things I've seen in a long time on RUclips. You should patent this design and probably commercialize it.
Thank you, I probably should. :D
I’m curious if you put in a recess for the door hinges on your miter saw when it’s upright. Otherwise I don’t know how the hinge can work. Unless that bar with the hinge is set back to account for the space it needs when it’s folded on it itself when up
Yes, something like that. Where the top meets the bench I had to sink the hinges down slightly because of the type of hinges I used. I think a different style hinge could simplify this.
How swaare and flush is the top though? With all the moving tops....and how has the dust collection held up? And with the planer specifically
The top is pretty flush and has held up without warping. The dust collection held up but I would not recommend the bucket vacuum. There are a lot more powerful compact options out there now.
How many miles did it have when you bought it?
201k miles
@phillipreborn Going to look at an 04 today with 142k. I hope it works out. Can't wait to see it!!
@@markmullen1852 be sure to get under it. Check for leaks, rust, etc. Test the 4wd and locking diff too!
@phillipreborn Will do. Thank you very much!!!
Excellent choice on the GX! I wanted one just cuz of the head space, but the roll down window on the 4Runners stole my vote😂
Thanks! We love the 4runner too for that reason and the hatch opens vertically instead of sideways.
Don’t underestimate that head space 😂 it really grows on you
@drewland6140 head space and the seating position is a little better than the 4runner. In the 4runner your knees sit higher and the seat is lower.
For that one option you lost opportunity of many lol your loss enjoy your back window...
Routers are specifically built to run against a reference edge. Why would you not use one at all?
When making the recess for the T track?
@@philliprebornWhen routing out the recess for the router plate AND the t-track. It was all done freehand. 🫣
So nice, but why do you put so much line on the wooden table according to the one that came with table saw?🤔
Not sure what you mean. Electrical wire?
I've installed two of those Bosch router plates because I got them for $15 each. For that price they are OK but they would never be my first choice for a router plate. The bevels along the perimeter are far to aggressive and all those extra holes collect wood chips. I'm going to fill in the unused holes with epoxy.
Yep, it was definitely one of the cheaper options and you know how that goes.
Super nice and tidy! I would consider using magnets to hold the dust gates open instead of the screw.
I like that idea!
Well done, mate. I like your layout and how you leveled out each work piece to the table.
Thank you! Cheers!
Fantastic. Well built and well narrated
Thanks!
